About Us
Nicole Turner-Ravana always had a passion for health and wellness, a passion that inspired her to start her own business to inspire public education about nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices. She started Strategic Nutrition in 2004 to help people have access to reliable, science-based nutrition information and assist companies and organizations in promoting nutrition responsibly while selling their products as well as for public education.
Nicole has a BS in Nutrition from Pepperdine University and a MS in Nutrition Communications from Tufts University’s Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. She also has over a decade of nutrition experience to the food industry and public health.
Nicole is a member of:
- Society for Nutrition Education (on the Board for the MyPyramid E-catalog, the Development Committee, and conference presenter)
- American School Health Association (conference presenter)
- American Alliance for Health Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (presenter at the Colorado convention)
She also volunteers at the Food Bank for Larimer County and is a community advocate for health who has presented at the state and national level to legislators in support of health policies. Nicole was honored as the 2008-2009 Food Bank for Larimer County Volunteer of the Year.
